A Praying Community United in Christ

Pray Gainesville is not another ministry. It's an alliance of churches, ministry organizations, and business and community leaders who share a commitment to working together to encourage and support movements of evangelism and discipleship in every segment of Gainesville, Ga.

We have no sectarian or political agenda, and no wish to duplicate or compete with any ministry or outreach program. Rather, we want to help them succeed by providing a city wide prayer covering.

Pray Gainesville is a unique opportunity, starting in 2007, for the praying community of faith to corporately unite in prayer. By signing up with your email address (see below), you'll receive a weekly email with three prayer targets or prayer requests related specifically to the city of Gainesville, Ga. Pray at least once for these prayer concerns. Invite other Christians to join Pray Gainesville in reaching our city for Christ.

Gainesville is known as a "gathering" place. Defined by Webster's Dictionary, "gather" means to unite, join, cause to come together, to collect gradually, to assemble, and to harvest. Let us be known as a gathering place for Christ, as we join together to strategically pray for our city.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says:

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We are in the process of creating a "Prayer Garden" at 673 Bradford Street. It will be open to anyone who wants to come and fellowship with God. It is located 4 blocks from the courthouse and the square.
